Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
DataLeaked.site ("we", "us") is an educational privacy platform. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and your choices. All analysis performed by the site runs locally in your browser.
By using DataLeaked.site you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require accounts and do not store personal data on our servers. The site is static and client-side.
When you run an analysis, the measurements (browser, device, network signals) are computed in your browser and stored only in your browser's localStorage under application-owned keys. They are never transmitted to us.
- Browser and device signals you choose to inspect (user agent, screen, fonts, etc.)
- Network diagnostics you explicitly request (DNS, IP, geolocation prompts)
- LocalStorage progress, privacy score snapshots you save
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp)
2. How We Use Information
We use server logs only for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic statistics. We do not build user profiles.
LocalStorage data is used solely to provide the guided assessment, score history, and before/after comparison features to you.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We use localStorage to remember your theme preference, analysis progress, and saved snapshots. We do not use tracking cookies of our own.
Third-party services embedded on the site (such as Google AdSense) may set cookies in your browser according to their own policies.
4. Google AdSense and Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or aboutads.info. You can also disable cookies in your browser.
5. Third-Party Services
Some features contact third-party services only after you explicitly request them: IP lookup (api.ipify.org), DNS tests (Cloudflare DoH, ipify), geolocation (browser API), WebRTC STUN (stun.cloudflare.com).
Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We do not control their data practices.
6. Data Storage and Security
All analysis data stays in your browser. Clearing your browser data removes it. We cannot recover it because we never receive it.
Our site is served over HTTPS. We apply standard security headers (X-Frame-Options, Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy).
7. Your Rights
Because we do not store personal data on our servers, there is no account to delete. You can remove all local data at any time via your browser settings.
You may contact us with questions about this policy.
8. Children's Privacy
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
